Every week in this newsletter, I try to share things that help us grow. Grow our farm, our side business, our life.

Sometimes that means marketing tips, time-saving systems, or the occasional homegrownhosting.com plug (websites for farmers).

But this week? It’s about something simpler: Just showing up.

And here’s the honest truth: A lot of the stuff I write about—I’m not writing it because I’ve mastered it.

I write it because I need the reminder.

I talk about focus because I get distracted.

I share systems because I get overwhelmed.

I write about showing up consistently… because sometimes I don’t.

Just the other night, I stress-ate a tub of ice cream while binge-watching Cobra Kai instead of finishing the work I needed to get done.

That’s the truth.

So if you’re out there wondering if you’re doing enough, let me say this: You showed up today. That counts. That’s the job.

Most of us are building something from scratch—on the side, after the kids are in bed, or before the day job starts.

And some days, the biggest win is just not quitting.

If you’re tired but still chasing your dream, you’re doing great.

If you’re learning as you go, you’re not behind. You’re in it.

We’re building something real here. It’s not always clean, or fast, or picture-perfect, but it’s worth it.

Sometimes the reminder is more important than the advice—and I’m reminding myself right alongside you.
