Waiting for Perfect is Costing You Money. Here’s What To Do Instead.
Hey Reader,
I see it all the time.
Farmers who know exactly what they should be doing… but aren’t doing it.
They need to raise prices. But they’re waiting until they have better packaging.
They need to start email marketing. But they’re waiting until they have more time.
They need to ask for the sale. But they’re waiting until their website is perfect.
Always waiting for one more thing to be ready.
Here’s what I’ve learned: The difference between farmers who are stuck and farmers who are growing isn’t knowledge. It’s mindset.
Farmer thinking: “I can’t do [X] until I have [Y] perfect.”
Business thinking: “How can I do [X] today with what I already have?”
Most of us default to farmer thinking. We wait. We perfect. We overthink.
Business owners take imperfect action and fix it as they go.
That’s the shift that got us from stuck to actually making money.
I just posted a video breaking down how to hit your first $1,000 on the farm using this exact approach—doing what you can with what you have, right now.

The video covers the practical steps—what to sell, how to find customers, how to keep it simple.
But here’s the deeper thing that makes it all work:
You have to stop thinking like a farmer and start thinking like a business owner.
Here’s what that looks like in practice:
Farmer thinking: “I can’t raise prices until I have better branding.”
Business thinking: “I’ll raise prices $1 this week and see what happens. I can always adjust.”
Farmer thinking: “I need to build an audience on social media first.”
Business thinking: “I already know 50 people. I’ll start there.”
Farmer thinking: “What if it doesn’t work?”
Business thinking: “I’ll try it for 30 days and learn what to fix.”
The shift isn’t about caring less about quality. It’s about not letting perfectionism stop you from taking the next step.
Your business grows from imperfect action, not perfect planning.
We made our first $1,000 once I stopped waiting and started selling what we already had.
You can perfect it after you’ve made the sale.
P.S. – Whether you’re working on your first $1,000 or your next $10,000, the mindset is the same: Stop waiting. Start doing. Check out the video.

with my appreciation,
Jason
