Hey there,
Ever listen to Charlotte Smith from 3 Cow Marketing?
If you have, you’ll notice something…
She talks about the same things. A lot.
🧠 The importance of mindset.
📬 Email is your #1 sales tool.
🗣️ Speak directly to one person, not the crowd.
Over and over again, she returns to these ideas—and not because she forgot she said them before. It’s because they matter. And because we need to hear them more than once.
That’s the thing about marketing: Repetition isn’t annoying—it’s necessary.
Your customers are busy. They’re distracted. And they’re not hearing your message unless you say it again… and again… and again.
So instead of reinventing the wheel every time you sit down to write, let’s simplify.
Let me introduce you to a helpful tool: Content Buckets.
A content bucket is just a category or theme you return to regularly—like a file folder you can pull from when you’re writing your next email or blog. It gives your marketing structure, consistency, and a repeatable system that reinforces your core message.
Here are three simple content buckets to help you get started:
1. The Problem You Solve
What are your customers struggling with? Price? Convenience? Clean food? Talk about the problem, then show how your farm solves it.
2. Behind the Scenes
People love seeing how their food is raised. Snap a photo while feeding the pigs or gathering eggs, and tell a quick story.
This is your chance to explain why the vegetables you grow or the chickens you raise are better than what you’ll find at your local supermarket or grocery store.
3. Tips and Education
How to store your meat. Why pasture-raised matters. How to cook a roast. Share the stuff you know that they might not.
Pick one bucket, write a quick message, hit send.
Then next week? Do it again. And again. Use different buckets for the same message.
That’s how the message sticks.
Keep it simple. Keep it honest. Keep showing up.
And yes—you might lose a customer or two along the way. That’s OK.
They were never really your people if they didn’t stick around for your message.
There’s an old saying in marketing (and I wish I knew who said it): “If you’re not getting enough yes’s, it’s because you’re not getting enough no’s.”
The truth is, you’ll repel a few people. But you’ll also attract the right ones—folks who hear your message and feel like it was written just for them. That’s how you build a loyal customer base—one email at a time.
You’ve got this.
P.S. Want to make your emails go even further?
When you build your website with Homegrown Hosting, we take your newsletter and automatically post it as a blog, turning one email into:

✅ A new page that might get found in Google by future customers
One click. Three wins.
Note: I’m not affiliated with Charlotte Smith or 3 Cow Marketing, but I’ve found her podcast and content to be a solid resource. If you’re looking to level up your farm marketing, I highly recommend giving her a listen.

with my appreciation,
